Damon’s Rally Cap raises thousands for cancer patients
On Saturday, Nov. 3, Damon’s Rally Cap Charity held its third annual Pitch-in for Hope fundraising event in Platte City, Mo. More than 150 guests attended the event to honor the legacy of Damon Owen and raise funds for cancer patients and their families.
The evening kicked off with a dinner and silent auction. Area businesses and Damon’s Rally Cap supporters donated nearly 65 silent auction and raffle items, which raised more than $5,600.
After dinner, founder of Damon’s Rally Cap Charity Amy Owen-Johnson provided a few remarks about the mission of the charity and the impact it has had on the community since its inception in 2016. The event ended on high note with live entertainment from Half of Dueling Pianos, which got the crowd off their feet and dancing.
